CHief Executive Officer

David Turner is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Velocity Now, an executive coaching company based in Denver, CO. David has over 7,500 hours of senior management/C-level coaching with private and public companies. In addition, David is the interim CEO and strategic advisor for Lumena, a wellness company that creates immersive, therapeutic spaces designed for mindbody renewal, contemplative practice, & inner-exploration. He was most recently the CEO of Contegix, a $65M private equity backed roll up of five IT cloud services companies from 4Q16 to 1Q19.

David has been a senior executive with 25 years of leadership expertise in C-level management, sales and marketing, P&L management, accelerated organic growth, M&A, and strategic alliances. David has significant knowledge in business services, information technology, and enterprise software. His core industry knowledge is in energy, telecom/media/technology, manufacturing, hospitality, chemical, automotive, and government.

A global executive, David has spent a significant portion of his career developing markets in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America.

Since 2003, he has been part of 55 M&A transactions, leading over two dozen of these. As SVP and Managing Director, Sales and Marketing of DigitalGlobe from 2012-2016, David led the 123 sales and marketing team members to deliver $700M+ in revenue. In addition, he led $135M+ P&Ls for DigitalGlobe (2016: $703M Revenue, NYSE:DGI, now NYSE:MAXR), with a 19% combined annual growth rate during David’s tenure.

Prior to joining DigitalGlobe, David served as Vice President, Strategy & Analysis and Supply Chain at IHS Markit (NASDAQ: INFO), a $19B (market cap) global information company. During his tenure at IHS, David led the America’s revenue and sales efforts for the Strategy & Analysis industry vertical sales teams, including brands such as IHS CERA, IHS Global Insight, IHS SRIC, Purvin & Gertz, IHS CMAI, IHS Emerging Energy Research, IHS iSuppli, IHS Intermat, and IHS Herold representing $197 million in revenue. In 2010-2011, David led the integration of five legacy business units plus an additional five follow-on acquisitions with a first-year result of $117 million, representing 111% of goal. In addition, he led the IHS delegation at the 2009 and 2010 World Economic Forum – Summer Davos and the 2009-2012 World Economic Forum – Middle East and LATAM. In addition, he led the revenue generation efforts for CERAWeek 2010-2012, the largest and most influential energy executive summit.

David started at IHS via the acquisition of Intermat, Inc. in 2004. As the P&L and sales leader, he increased revenues for this software and services business unit by 282% and EBITDA from 0% to 33%. In 2008, David accepted an expanded role to lead the global sales and business development efforts for IHS’ Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability domain, which grew via four software and information acquisitions from 2008-2010.

Prior to joining IHS, David was President of iPath Solutions, a Houston-based e-business consulting firm. He led the turnaround efforts in 2000, resulting in a new management team and strategy focused on document management systems consulting, leading to iPath Solutions being acquired in 2005 by Perficient, Inc.

From 1995-2000, David was Vice President of Global Shop Solutions, an ERP software firm focused on meeting all business-management needs of custom manufacturing clients.

David holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University with a double major in management information systems and quantitative business analysis. He serves on several boards of advisors/directors for three companies in a diverse set of industries. David is also a board member of the YPO Colorado chapter.
